The New Machine was first formed in 1998 by guitarist and vocalist Mark Emery. Marks reputation for capturing the feel of the Floyd sound was so much so that Guitarist Magazine interviewed him. Mark toured for many years in America and the World with Wishbone Ash and the Average White Band as sound engineer and tour manager.

The New Machine Line up of Mark Emery on guitars and vocals, Jai D on drums and vocals , Nigel Pike on bass and Paul Matthews on keyboards will be re-joined on stage by talented Vocalists from the original line-up, Dani Turner and Sam Scott; they will perform “The Great Gig in the Sky” and provide quality harmony vocals throughout the show.

JAI D Drums / Vocals: The Power House Drums that Jai is known for has now taken on most of the singing for the band and surprised many people with powerful singing style. Drumming from age 13 Jai was offered the position as drummer with local metal band "Mad Hatter whose album "Mad Hatter” sold well and was played on Radio 1 and was reviewed in Kerrang magazine. The Band toured the UK and Europe, supporting some big names in the business (Scorpions, Wolfs bane, Girlschool, Whitelion and In 1995, Jai went on to tour as drummer with Paul Di'anno (Iron Maiden) Jai was eagerly snapped up by Warner Chappell for old friends " Scapegrace ". He moved to London .The band had one release charting No. 78 in the British charts.

Nigel Pike, Bass: playing since the age of 14, Nige has played with many top bands.
Living in London and working closely with The Police management Brett Marvin and The Thunderbolts., as well as playing with Stuart Copeland of The Police. Nigel also worked with Pink Floyds productions and Ran a Jam night at the Hot Rock and Blues for 8 years, which is remembered as the most successful Jam Night in Torbay!

Paul Matthews. Keyboards: Classically trained from the age of five, Paul, a very experienced musician, covering many styles but including favourite influences such as Genesis, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. He formed his first band 'Blue Spectacle' at the age of 14 with friend Kim Turner (later management of Police & Sting fame) on drums. He also went on to have bands on the local scene such as' Matt Black' and 'Street Scene' in the 1980's! “Paul was then appointed Musical Director at the Babbacombe Theatre during the 90’s, whilst latterly really enjoying gigging again – especially with The New Machine, allowing him great scope for using classic organ and great synthesizer sounds from a great musical era!!”

Sam Scctt loves to sing the Blues and performs regularly with the areas top Jazz and Blues musicians.

Dani, who now lives in Hastings, also fronts an AC/DC and Led Zeppelin and Tina Turner tribute bands as well as working on her own album. Not just a singer I might add! Dani also plays the drums, guitar and bass and is currently learning keyboards and harmonica to aid her song writing for own album.

The New Machine have received high acclaim for their ability to capture the essence of Pink Floyd with their performance of love, passion and energy.

They are remembered in Torbay for their outstanding performance at the 2001 Aquaculture concert at Princess Gardens.

The Upcoming shows will see the band perform many classic Floyd songs from Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Wish You Were Here and Division Bell and will be truly Multi-Media experience enhanced by a state of the art light show, great projections and Hi-Fi sound.

The Band has secured exclusive permission from Pink Floyd to release a CD album containing 12 classic Pink Floyd songs recorded by The New Machine.

 The Album is entitled “Interstellar Rockstar” an original song which reached 49 in the Rolling Stone mp3 chart and is the title track from the album.

 The New Machine are signed to Mark 1 Records, an Independent Label set up by band leader; Mark Emery. Along with The New Machine’s album "Interstellar Rockstar", recent releases include Bryn Morgan Evans' posthumous album “Dare 2 Believe”. and  the long awaited single of "Another Brick in the Wall" featuring the very talented Rapper MC Coleman.
